Within a sacred space, we embark together on bringing the liveliness and joy of the relationship back, while deepening the connection. This usually starts with laying the groundwork of healthy communication.
Often, couples therapy includes learning to express our needs and desires, while listening to and respecting our partner’s perspective. We can also explore the four essential areas of a satisfying and joyful relationship, reawakening the sexual connection, and looking at how each partner expresses love and what makes him/her feel loved.
Issues that bring the couple into therapy can become springboards into greater intimacy and mutual understanding. The couple shares their hopes and fears for the future and learns to co-create the relationship. This is all explored within the context of a shared spiritual vision that can become the foundation of depth and intimacy for the couple.
Couples sessions are either 50 or 75 minutes, depending on your needs. Longer sessions are highly recommended and usually more satisfying for couples work. See my fees and forms page for information about my counseling fees.
